Often, that original adaptation becomes outdated as a client matures through life. It can feel like a person cannot get out of their own way, or that they are sabotaging themselves. Leslie’s role is to provide new perspectives, assist the client in overcoming obstacles, and uncover resistance to change. Along with addressing the client’s challenges, Leslie believes it is also important to identify the client’s strengths that can help their therapeutic journey. This has been an effective approach with clients working with loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal relations.
