Pricing Model
Broad Horizons Counseling Collective (dba Pacific Assessments and Counseling) uses a transparent, flexible pricing model designed to increase access to high‑quality mental health care while supporting sustainable clinician practice. Our model includes clear session rates, multiple payment options, sliding-fee considerations, and insurance participation where available.
Session Rates
Standard therapy session: set per 53‑minute session rate. Rates are posted for Telehealth and in‑person sessions and are consistent across our clinician network.
Extended or specialty sessions: prorated rates apply for sessions longer than 53 minutes or for specialized assessments and testing.
Initial intake/assessment: a single fixed rate for the first evaluation session, which may differ from standard session rates due to additional assessment time and documentation.
Insurance and Out‑of‑Network Billing
We are in-network with selected insurers and accept insurance for clinicians who contract with a given plan. Insurance coverage and co‑pay/coinsurance amounts depend on the client’s plan.
For clinicians who are out‑of‑network with a client’s insurer, we provide a superbill on request to support client reimbursement through their benefits.
Self‑Pay and Payment Options
Clients may choose self‑pay at the posted rate and can pay by major credit card, debit card, or other approved electronic payment methods.
Sliding Fee and Financial Assistance
To expand access, we maintain a limited sliding‑fee program based on household income and documented need. Eligibility guidelines and application procedures are provided on request.
Cancellations and No‑Show Policy
Appointments canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice incur no fee.
Late cancellations (under 24 hours) and no‑shows may incur a charge up to the full session rate. Exceptions are made for emergencies and extenuating circumstances on a case‑by‑case basis.
Transparent Billing and Consent
All clients receive a written fee schedule and informed consent outlining payment responsibilities before services begin.
Clinician Compensation and Sustainability
Our pricing is structured to fairly compensate clinicians, reflecting licensure, training, and specialty to promote clinician retention and high quality of care.
How to Confirm Rates and Coverage
Exact rates, sliding‑fee availability, insurance participation, and clinician‑specific fees are confirmed during intake scheduling or by contacting our administrative team. We provide clear documentation to help clients understand their financial responsibility before the first appointment.
